On January 10, 2022, I lost my husband Larry Cinque Jr. to COVID-19. Larry was the most amazing, kindest, giving person and to know him was to love him. Larry was the type of person that could make a complete stranger feel like family. His personality and heart were larger-than-life, lighting up any room filling it with his love.
Larry loved sports; he began playing in school and then throughout his adulthood; playing football, flag football, baseball and even playing semi-pro for a short period. Our daughter followed in his footsteps with the love for sports, playing softball and Larry’s biggest football fan. Larry and I were asked to take over our daughter's team as coaches of their little league team and it was the best thing we ever did. I loved watching how amazing he was with the girls; I could tell he felt it to be a real honor. He knew how to balance being a friend/ role model and a coach at the same time.
The “Love Like Larry” foundation was created to honor my husband, to continue his legacy, his love for football, the love he had for coaching the softball girls and his incredible generosity. Our goal is to provide scholarships to one Bay Shore High School senior football and softball player each year. We also plan to provide help to any youth players that may need any financial assistance. Larry’s quote was always “I Got You”. Now we got you Larry.
We will be holding many different fundraisers throughout the years to raise money to provide financial support to the children in our community. At this time, we are asking businesses to donate items, services, or gift certificates to be raffled at these events. Your support is greatly appreciated in helping us to achieve our goals to help these children with their passion for sports.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Danielle Cinque
